Fremont Peak Park Sunset

It was a stunning sunset over the Olympic Mountains this evening. We headed home after a soccer game over at Magnuson Park, and stopped at the best taco truck in Seattle next to the old Winchell’s Doughnuts on 45th. As we got closer to the top of the hill in Fremont, it was apparent that this sunset was going to be a special one. I dropped mommy and the kids off and raced to gather the tripod and camera and get up to Fremont Peak Park.

I knew that the pink hues would soon disappear from the the sky. The colors definitely weren’t as strong by the time I got up to the park, but I still managed to get a few decent pictures. I also wasn’t the only person with the idea of heading up to the park. There was a painter and at least 10 other people up there enjoying the view. I took a few pics and quickly headed back home to enjoy the delicious tacos and burrito. As we start to move into the fall, I need to be prepared to race out for our great cloud enhanced sunsets around Seattle.
