Leaf covered wading pool at Northacres Park

Northacres Park is located at the far north end of the city of Seattle between N 130th and the I-5 Freeway. It’s surrounded with a forest of fir and contains a small forest behind picnic area. Facilities include an baseball/softball fields, a soccer field, a play area for children, a dog off-leash area, and a wading pool.

The wooded area of Northacres offers a kid’s play area as well as some semi-climbable sculpture art work. The black shapes and faces sculpture wall is one of highlights.

This park is a bit more of a summer park than a winter park with the wading pool and a heavily shaded playground, but, with the wide variety of features, you can find something to do here throughout the year. If/when the park’s levy money gets spent, they are supposed to upgrade the wading pool into a more exciting fountain. Hopefully next year…
