As you ride south on the multi-use pedestrian “Interurban” trial to the west of the Evergreen-Washelli Cemetery, you’ll come upon a small green-space and the Viewland/Hoffman Electrical Substation park. It appears it’s an active electricity substation, so you wouldn’t necessarily visit every day, but it makes for a quick little exploration.
All of the sculptures and exhibits are behind a chain link fence, so you won’t feel too invited. However, the motion of all the windmill contraptions can be pretty entertaining for small kids.
The green space might accommodate a small frisbee-type activity, but there are probably better activity fields to spend you time. I’d recommend this park if you’re on a bike ride in the area and need a quick stop. Otherwise, it’s probably not worth going out of your way.
